Dialga is dragon and steel type. Steel has many resistances and so Diagla is only weak to fighting and ground. In this case, fighting trumps ground against Dialga. The list of top DO@20 counters against Dialga is:
- Machamp: Counter / Dyanmic Punch
- Hariyama: Counter / Dyanmic Punch
- Lucario: Counter / Close Combat
- Blaziken: Counter / Focus Blast
- Heracross: Counter / Close Combat
- Groudon: Mud Shot / Earthquake
- Mewtwo: Psycho Cut / Focus Blast
- Breloom: Counter / Dyanmic Punch
- Gallade: Low Kick / Close Combat
- Toxicroak: Counter / Dyanmic Punch
Weather
When it is sunny, ground types and ground moves are boosted. Groudon(#1) and Rhyperior (#4) are useful then.For other weather, there are only minor changes.
Move set
When Diagla has draco meteor, the weaker pokemon faint a little faster and drop in rankings: Machamp(#3), Blaziken(#11), Breloom (#21), Toxicroak(#16)
The opposite is true when Diagla has thunder. Since thunder is so weak, the pokemon last longer and we find more useful Pokemon: Breloom(#1), Toxicroak(#5)
